The Australian Logistics Council is seeking expressions of interest to speak at the upcoming ALC Diversity & Inclusion Summit, to be held in Sydney on 10 November.
The inaugural ALC Diversity & Inclusion Summit, held in November 2015, saw ALC commit to taking a leadership role, with a series of strategies identified to encourage and retain more women in the logistics industry, to widen the recruitment pool and help bring a new perspective to the industry.
ALC’s publication, Diversity – Opportunity for Change, clearly outlines the task ahead and the work that needs to be done to build on the good work already underway by many leading logistics companies to develop greater diversity in the workplace.
In 2016, the Agenda for the ALC Diversity & Inclusion Summit will be expanded to include attracting youth to the industry and indigenous employment.
