Chain of Responsibility is undergoing significant changes, making the Summit a must attend event for people who control or influence the movement of freight.

In 2016, Executive Officer Liability under Chain of Responsibility is being expanded to align with Workplace Health & Safety laws. Chain of Responsibility applies to all businesses that consign, pack, load or receive goods as part of their operations. As a result of the changes, you could be held legally liable for breaches of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), even though you may have no direct role in driving or operating a heavy vehicle under the HVNL’s Chain of Responsibility.

Strengthening the Supply Chain discusses these changes, and previews how they will be the focus of presentations and workshops at the ALC Supply Chain Safety & Compliance Summit.

SCLAA appoints Executive Officer

As the SCLAA continues to grow, it is important that we have an experienced Executive Officer who can promote the SCLAA to potential Members, National Partners and our industry.  Additionally, to assist the SCLAA with Event Sponsorships, Major Event Planning, Events in our States / Divisions as well as other important strategic and marketing functions.

Anthony has extensive experience in similar roles with Western Health Foundation, Save The Children and various sporting Clubs, including the North Melbourne Football Club and Collingwood Football Club.  He will report to the SCLAA Board and work with the Board as we refine and implement our strategic plan.

Dematic showcases new robotic order fulfilment solution at CeMAT Australia 2016
