Sue Tomic-Non Executive Director, Board Advisor, Ex C Suite Professional,

An experienced Board Director, Board Advisor and Ex C Suite Professional, with expertise in leading strategic transformation across complex and highly- regulated industries including Freight, Port and Landside Logistics, Automotive, Software technology, Retail. Sue is a collaborative leader in the Boardroom with the ability to transform vision into strategic action. Governance and strong financial and emotional intelligence are Sue’s key strengths.

Sue’s previous executive capacity roles in Supply Chain & Logistics included CFO, CCO, GM Operations in the largest freight and intermodal terminals in Australia. She also provided Board and business advisory to some of the largest private owned companies in the industry, leading strategy and transformation to achieve sustainable business growth.

Sue joined Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) as Treasurer in 2019, was chosen as Vice Chair/Interim Chair in 2020 and officially assumed the Chair role in 2021. With the support of the Board, restructure, rebranding and a refocus on strategic objectives resulted in exponential growth, strategic alliances, many additional member benefits, Association awareness and industry reach in a very challenging market.

Sue is also the Managing Director of Chain Consulting Services, a boutique firm providing organizations with Business and Board advisory, a specialist in business turnaround, high level of expertise in M&A advisory, contract negotiations, sustainable growth strategies, risk mitigation and Corporate Governance.

Sue also serves on various Industry, Government and University Advisory Boards/Committees.

Natalie Wallace

Natalie Wallace is a seasoned executive boasting over three decades of expertise in the realms of International Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, Transportation, Warehousing, and 3PL Logistics. Her extensive background extends to providing comprehensive Supply Chain Solutions across diverse sectors such as Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Finance, Technology, Retail, FMCG, and E-Commerce Fulfilment. With a wealth of domestic and international experience.

Natalie has collaborated closely with prominent Blue Chip organisations, assuming various Senior Leadership positions. In these roles, she has adeptly delivered consultancy services focusing on Global Supply Chain transformation, E-Commerce Fulfilment optimisation, operational streamlining, and strategies aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness and profitability. In addition to being SCLAA’s Acting Vice Chair, Natalie is also SCLAA’s Director for Queensland.

Julian Brancaccio has been appointed NSW State Director (late 2024) His leadership within the Association pans five years, including a successful three-year tenure as the NSW State President

Julian’s journey in the supply chain and logistics sector began as a Business Development Manager at Cohesio Group, responsible for he growth of cutting-edge automation and technology solutions. He then assumed the role of National Director of Sales for Australia and New Zealand at HAI Robotics, where he was instrumental in driving the adoption of robotics and automation across the region. Currently, Julian holds a Business Development role at AutoStore, further cementing his expertise in warehouse automation and intelligent storage solutions.

With his deep industry knowledge, strategic vision, and passion for innovation, plus his vast network of associates, Julian will continue to play a pivotal role in advancing industry collaboration with the SCLAA and impact the Australian logistics and supply chain landscape.

Brett McGowran

Experience

Brett joins Bridgestone Australia in 2024 to support Supply Chain Optimisation for their Pacific region. Previously Brett has worked with the large multi-nationals BHP and Schneider Electric.

He has more than 20 years of experience in supply chains where he has held leadership roles across Asia Pacific related to Quality, Industrialisation, Procurement, Strategy and large-scale Transformations. During this time he has witnessed the evolution of Supply Chains throughout the world, as they have been disrupted and forced to become more tailored, more agile, more sustainable and fully digitized.

He strives to share his experiences and use his knowledge and networks to really support local organisations and to stimulate and grow the professional community that is SCLAA.

Rakesh Bandipelli

Rakesh Bandipelli is a hands-on, solution focused professional with experience in Warehousing, Distribution and International freight. Proven to have the technical expertise needed to operate and support new logistics systems that are being rapidly adopted and lead system with operational enhancements. Through being able to see the wider picture, have earned a reputation as someone who is forward thinking, hardworking and professional, delivering measurable, successful results while driving continuous improvement.

Rakesh has joined SCLAA in 2018 and since that time has worked extensively with the association in organising events and strongly believes that being a member with SCLAA is the best way possible to learn and prosper in the industry.

Brian Lynn

Brian’s background in Supply Chain and Logistics spans more than twenty years, three continents, and multiple industries in roles encompassing inventory, technology, operations, transport and project management.

Brian has been in Australia for more than seventeen years and has been a member of the SCLAA for the vast majority of this time, progressing through the role of State President to a position representing WA on the association’s National Board.

He’s extremely grateful for the networking, educational opportunities and career development that membership of the SCLAA has afforded him and relished the prospect of developing more industry leaders.

Don has and continues to serve on several charitable boards in Victoria, primarily on the Djerriwarrh Education and Community Services Inc and Djerriwarrh Community College Boards as Treasurer. He's had a long career in public life as a Victorian Parliamentarian for 26 years and served in many capacities such as: the Parliamentary Secretary for Roads and Ports; Parliamentary Committee Chair for the Privileges Committee; joint Parliamentary committees and; many others. In 2014, Don was elected Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Don has served in many leadership positions throughout his career.

Edward Chow

Edward has over 15 years in the audit and assurance profession and has been responsible for the delivery of large public and private company audits, internal controls evaluation, cash flow forecasting and budgets and the preparation and review of general-purpose financial statements. He spent a number of years at EY before joining the ranks of top tier firms. Edward is also a Partner at Walker Wayland NSW, a top 20 accounting firm in Australia.

Edward currently works with companies at different stages of their life cycles across a wide range of industries including the supply chain and logistics industries. Edward is passionate about all aspects of a business with a particular focus on developing strategies to enhance and streamline business processes.. Edward is a registered company auditor, a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and a member of the Chartered Accountants Australian and New Zealand (CAANZ).

Ben Fahimnia

Ben Fahimnia is a Professor of Decision Sciences at the University of Sydney. Ben is a globally distinguished researcher and a renowned supply chain consultant with a diverse background in business/management, applied mathematics, engineering, and psychology.

Ben leads multidisciplinary teams working on a range of projects related to digital transformation, risk management, human intuition in supply chain decision-making, pairing intuition with data analytics, and sustainable operations. He has helped practitioners and policymakers develop decision-making skills and tools to create and manage efficient, resilient and sustainable supply chains.

To date, Ben has successfully managed over 140 projects in different sectors, for which he has received numerous awards from professional associations, research organisations and government agencies.

Stephen Lakey

Stephen Lakey is a seasoned supply chain technology consultant and communications coach, dedicated to helping businesses navigate complex technical and operational challenges. With deep expertise in supply chain digitalisation, Stephen works with organisations to drive efficiency, enhance productivity, and build more sustainable, cost-effective supply chains.

Stephen is also a recognised communications coach, equipping supply chain professionals with the verbal and strategic communication skills needed to collaborate effectively and drive business success. A passionate advocate for professional development, he is committed to mentoring the next generation of industry leaders and actively supports the SCLAA mentoring program.

Before joining the board, Stephen served as President of the SCLAA Victorian & Tasmanian Division, playing a key role in fostering industry connections and advancing the association’s mission.

Cathy-Anne Jones

Experience

Cathy-Anne Jones has had a successful 20 year career in recruitment, with 6 years deeply immersed in supply chain and logistics.

She currently heads up Business Development for Distribution Solutions, an Australian freight and logistics management consultancy.

Cathy Anne also holds an Industrial Relations degree from the University of Sydney, and remains up to date with recent courses at the Supply Chain Leaders Academy and The University of Sydney Business School. She has past experience with 2 major industry membership associations and is committed to the supply chain and logistics industry. She has a particular interest in consulting for efficiencies and finding solutions to challenges as the industry changes and evolves.

Cathy-Anne is well placed to continue to serve the Association, having previously held State President and State Director roles from 2019 to 2024. Her focus as an Independent Director (appointed late 2024) is to develop career and jobs board initiatives, delivering membership value and governance.
