Tracey Waring, Ernst & Young’s Oceania IFRS desk leader and Global IFRS leader – Mining & Metals, will be joining other inspirational speakers at this not-to-be-missed, ground breaking event.

Tracey Waring - 250pxTracey is a partner at EY and has worked there for over 23 years. She is their Oceania International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Desk leader and also the Global IFRS leader – Mining & Metals. She has over 23 years of experience in the provision of assurance and financial accounting advisory services to a wide range of clients and a large portion of these have been clients in the mining and metals sector. Two of these years were spent working at EY’s global headquarters in London.

In her global role, Tracey spends a significant amount of her time meeting with a wide range of Mining & Metals clients around the globe and has regular and close interactions with the International Accounting Standards Board. Tracey is a regular presenter at global EY forums, and other industry forums.

Tracey is also EY’s Oceania IFRS desk leader and leads a team of over 50 people from across the Oceania region.

Tracey is passionate about EY’s people and in particular the advancement of women.  She is a regular presenter at women’s forums facilitated by EY and externally where they explore the issues facing women. She is also a member of the advisory board of Women in Mining International which looks to implement initiatives that improve worldwide gender balance in the mining industry, and foster the professional development of women in mining. Tracey also mentors a large number of EY women across the globe.

She is a wife, a mother of two amazing teenage daughters, a sister and a daughter to two wonderful parents, and lives a busy, full but rewarding life.
